PRICING AND PAYMENT

Additional Charges

A keyholder fee of £30 covers opening and closing the building and carrying out checks with hirers. A refundable security deposit of £100 is required for all private functions and will be returned within 3 working days if no damage or excess cleaning is required. If premises are not left in their original clean condition, a variable cleaning charge will apply.

Payment & Deposit

The £100 refundable deposit is payable by bank transfer 14 days before your event. For one-off bookings, payment is required at the time of booking. Regular or block bookings are invoiced monthly in arrears. All payments must be made by bank transfer - contact us for details.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel 7 days or more before your booking, you'll receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the booking receive a 50% refund of the hire charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, or no-shows, are not eligible for refunds and the full hire charge remains payable.

HIRE POLICIES

Bouncy Castles

Small bouncy castles (maximum 10 ft) may be permitted at Heath Park Community Centre, but only with prior written approval from our management team. Permission is not automatic - you must request approval at least 7 days in advance. Large inflatables are not permitted.

If approved, you must confirm in writing that you accept full responsibility for the bouncy castle and any incidents arising from its use. A responsible adult must supervise at all times, and you must have a risk assessment in place and available on the day. Set-up and removal must happen within your booked time - any additional time will be charged. Management reserves the right to refuse use if conditions are not met.

Conditions of Hire

Access to the centre is permitted 30 minutes before and after your booked time. If you're coaching, teaching, or providing instruction, you'll need Public Liability Insurance and must provide a copy to us.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Candles, incense, and smoke machines are strictly prohibited as our fire alarm is very sensitive. Nothing may be attached to walls - this includes Sellotape, blue-tack, pins, nails, or any other fixings.

Music must not be audible to neighbouring residents after 10pm. The premises must be left clean and tidy with all rubbish removed - cleaning materials are provided. All furniture must be returned to its original position, and sub-letting is not permitted. If you plan to serve or sell alcohol, please notify us in advance as a licence may be required.

EVENT REQUIREMENTS

Children's Parties

Children's parties are available for children aged 1-8 only, between 1pm and 7pm. A minimum of 2 responsible adults must be present at all times. We do not accept bookings for 18th or 21st birthday parties, or weddings. If you're planning a children's party with a bouncy castle, prior approval is required.

Security for Large Events

Events require a minimum of 2 industry-approved stewards for up to 100 guests, plus 1 additional steward per 25 additional guests. Stewards must be over 21, clearly identifiable, and must not consume alcohol during the event. They are responsible for access control and guest behaviour both inside and outside the building. An Event Management Form must be submitted at least 14 days before your event.
